Sarah Bish, cellist

Welcome to Sarah's homepage at the Red Barn

The Amherst Red Barn Music School welcomes Sarah Bish to the Red Barn family. A former faculty member of the reknowned Stringendo Orchestra School of the Hudson Valley, Sarah is a graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Music where she completed her Suzuki Pegagogy certificate.

Sarah says, "I specialize in teaching the Suzuki Cello Method and I believe in a wholistic approach to learning the cello. For me, a solid introduction to ear training, theory, and reading are critical from the beginning. I also find it crucial for a learner (particularly children) to have social experiences with the cello, so group classes will be offered. I truly love teaching and always look forward to each lesson or class as they are new experiences for everyone!"

Sarah is currently a Music Master's degree candidate at the University of Massachusetts where she studies under Astrid Schween.
